Since we made our move to Vegas we have been missing our babysitter, my mother. It’s been very hard for us to work out on the same schedule because we don’t have someone to watch her. So I finally decided that it was probably time to take the step towards signing her up for daycare at the gym. I was dreading it! I went and checked it out before I signed her up and it looked surprisingly clean. They had a complete fenced off area that is just for infants. Luna’s second day there she was already getting greeted by all the staff. They all had nothing but great things to say and that just made it soooo easy for us. I had imagined her crying and throwing a fit but nope! Not my girl! This facility had some major pluses that were factored into my decision, first the girls that watch the babies are wearing hospital booties over their shoes. My dream. I took a packet to fill out for her and there was a special requirements box that I gladly filled out. It wasn’t anything over-the-top. I just want them to wipe everything down before they put her in or on it and to lay her on her own blanket. It has been so easy since. We have been going every day and are so happy to be getting back into our routine. My favorite thing about this whole thing besides the hospital booties has to be that there are these nifty little monitors all over the gym that allow you to see your child while you work out. It takes a lot off my shoulders and makes it easy for us to go and work out. Where as before the entire time I had to be checking my phone making sure that they hadn’t called me to tell me she was freaking out. Not a very peaceful or relaxing way to work out at all! Still, I will not be able to enroll her in all day day care, she will be my little sidekick at work a while longer. Now I have no excuses. I’m more than ready to jump in to a full exercise schedule. Have you mama’s had good experiences with gym day care?
